    AutoDate (2002)

    Hi,

is there a way in Word to have today's date automatically show when the doc is opened? I have a mail merge letter that needs the current date.

    Thanks,
    Leesha

Select Insert | Date and Time...
Select the date format you prefer.
Tick the check box 'Automatically update'.
    Click OK.

<img src=/S/blush.gif border=0 alt=blush width=15 height=15> OMG that was too easy. I never even looked under "Insert" or thought it would be that easy. I'm normally working in Access or Excel all day and only use Word on the ratest of occasions!

    Thanks,
    Leesha
