    Copy an e-mail with the header (2003)

    How too copy an e-mail with his header in order to past it in another application? If I select the e-mail and use edit select all copy I have only the body of the e-mail and I would like to have all the information sender, to, from, date....

    You could do the following - it's not very elegant:
    - Either open the e-mail or select it in the Outlook window.
    - Select File | Save As...
    - Export to a text-only file (depending on the message format, you can also export to RTF or HTML)
    - Open the text file and copy its contents into the other application, or import it.

    If the format isn't critical, hitting forward and then copying everything below "original message" is a quick way to go.

    Saving as text does not save all the email; headers.

    Forward does not copy all the headers.

    Of course, there are lots of other headers in the message. However, the request was for "Sender, To, From, Date..." so I guess we don't know whether forward is "good enough" until we find out what the ... stands for. <img src=/S/wink.gif border=0 alt=wink width=15 height=15>
