    Refresh all open pages (IE6)

Is there a way to refresh all open windows of Internet Explorer?

I had three windows open that were viewing different pages. While they were open, I was in Windows Explorer view some file details, and I pressed F5 to refresh the screen. I noticed that all 3 IE windows started refreshing too!!!!

    When I tried it again later...It did not work...!! <img src=/S/sad.gif border=0 alt=sad width=15 height=15>

Was this a fluke? Is there a way to refresh all open IE windows at once?

PS: I even tried selecting the buttons on the taskbar using control to select all 3 windows...right click...but there is no Refresh!!

    TIA
    Regards,
    Rudi

Internet Explorer is a single-document interface application. If you open three web pages, you open three separate instances of Internet Explorer. Usually, you can only refresh one at a time.

There are some actions in Windows Explorer that will cause all open instances of Internet Explorer to refresh, such as changing view settings (Tools | Folder Options..., View tab), but I wouldn't want to use that as a regular method to refresh web pages.

Some web pages are on a refresh timer (to redisplay new ads or for other reasons), so it could just be a coincidence!

FWIW, when you have multiple tabs open with IE7 there is a refresh all option in the right click context menu. If you care to run BETA software you can get it at Download details: Internet Explorer 7 Beta 1 Technology Overview.

    Hi Joe...
This is an interesting link that you posted! Many thanx for this info!

I did my own browsing and found another page with some insite into IE7 (with some screen-shots)! It looks great!
