    XML around tables/table rows? Other workaround? (2003 Sp1)

    I have a Word XML problem that is giving me fits.

    What I have is this: a table with a header row, and conditional rows thereafter. I have tried different methods of handling this scenario with XML tags without success. I think this problem might be solved with schema changes, but because of resource shortage, I can

    I haven't used the "official" XML features of Word, so this may be completely beside the point...

    Using VBA and the MSXML object library, you can read XML documents, apply conditional logic and insert whatever you like into a Word document. Whether this would be any faster than changing the schema, I'm not sure. The problem is that writing a general purpose solution is a lot of work, and writing a "quick-fix" constrained by current requirements may cause confusion or errors down the road. But if it's due today... hacking with VBA might be best.

    Thank you for the reply! Looks like my programmer-begging paid off (maybe it was the offer of servitude for life), and one of them is working on the problem.
