Full name and 'Known as' in Contacts (WinXP Outlook 2002)

One of my academics is known by his nick name, and I want to use this and his real name in Contacts. So he is named Dr. Real E. Smart PhD but everyone calls him 'pants' and his email address is pants.smart@university.etc
Now I want to file him by first name of Pants, but include the proper name for using in formal correspondence. Can I do this, without making the full name fields which outlook throws up into Pants E. Smart ? TIA

The simplest would be to set up two contacts, leaving you to remember which one u want to use, You could also use the File As field in contacts to keep the two names together. HTH

Thanks Paul. I am trying to avoid duplicate contact forms, so will have to just use the nickname in the name box and put the full, proper name in the comments at the bottom, along with the other 'formal' bits.
