Open and Save Dialog Boxes (Office 2002 SP-2)

The File Open and Save dialog boxes in my Office apps have taken to opening maximised (even when the Office app itself is in a normal window), which on a 19" monitor is overwhelming - vast amounts of white space with the various buttons scattered around the edges, and other app windows hidden.

I can't find any help or guidance in the Office help - surprise :-) - any ideas on how to fix this, and on why it started happening in the first place?

You probably accidentally double-clicked the title bar of the dialog. Double-clicking it should restore the dialog to normal size again.

Doh! - I didn't even realise this was a property of a dialog box. Thanks.

A proper dialog box is not resizable, but the Open and Save As dialogs in recent Office versions have been made resizable, and can even be maximized as you have found.
