    Right click won't open (IE 6)

    If I right click and opt to open in a new window, a page which opens with java scriptl() or similar will first report an error on the page. Example:

    java scriptl('http://shop.office-watch.com/oeh/');

    Error message (I have this option set for JS): Error line 1 char 1 object expected and cites the above as line one. Then it bursts into tears and says it can't find the server. This is a bit of a pain, as I prefer to right click and open in a new window much of the time. Shift+click generates the same pattern. Any explanation/solution/suggestions, please?

    The script is probably set to open a pop-up window on its own - much like the links to the 1-click Tagpanel and Smiles in the Reply page I'm on now.
    What happens if you click on the link - does it open a new window anyway?

    I agree that it never works to try and do that. I've never tried to work out the exact reason, but it might be that when the new window opens, the function ol does not exist in the blank page, and IE does not relate the new window back to the original page. (For security reasons, IE should not go trolling around among open windows for a script with a matching name.)

    An ordinary left click opens in a new window.
