    Document Size in kb

I have a journal that I kept for a little over a year that is 518KB. It is close to 300 pages in length. I also have a new document that I have just created by pasting text from the web and another source, this is 442KB in size. This one is only 3 pages. How did a three page document get so large?
    I am using Word 97 SR2

Pasting from the Web is probably what is causing the problem. It is best to do a paste special/unformatted text so not to carry all the nasty attributes of the web page.

Thank you very much for the answer to my question. That helped a lot. I am doing extensive research now and I need to keep my documents down in size. <img src=/S/doh.gif border=0 alt=doh width=15 height=15>
