    Extended Range Wireless Network

My daughter would like to network her PC in her house with her PC in her business. The business is about 200-250 feet from the house. There is a clear line of sight between the two. I see that there are new wireless routers that can work at this range, but they cost a lot more then the other routers. Can I extend the range of cheaper routers by using antennas?

There are web sites that give instructions for making your own antennas
