    You could create a table like this:

    <table border=1><td></td><td align=center>A</td><td align=center>B</td><td align=center>C</td><td align=center>D</td><tr><td align=center>1</td><td align=right>

    Sure enough...

    Actually I was looking for some way to automate this, having more than two groups (in fact 5) of items to permute...

    And at the end of the day what I am REALLY looking for is the MIN and MAX value...

    The min and max shouldn't be too hard, e.g.

    =MIN(first range)+MIN(second range)+MIN(third range)+...

    You'd probably need VBA to generate all combinations/permutations of elements from 5 groups.
