    Ignore Remote Requests

    Excel '97.

    I have quite an application I have created in Excel. This application uses a userform to capture data from the user. As Excel Userforms open only in Modal, I have been experimenting with the following:

    application.ignoreremoterequests = true

    The problem i'm having is that if the program crashes for any reason, the ignoreremoterequests statement remains true, disabling the user's ability to open a workbook from thier desktop or e-mail.

    Is there a way to set application.ignoreremoterequests to false every time excel loads? I want this statement to remain true only while my userform is open, so that when other workbooks are opened, they spawn a new instance of excel.

    Thanks!

    Re: Ignore Remote Requests

    You could put a workbook in XLStart that had a Workbook Open event routing to enable remote requests.
