    Sending word document (2000)

I have sent an email to my colleague with a microsoft word attached document, but she is getting the document on a .txt format. Whe she saves the file by righ clicking on the attachment and then file save as it is OK. Any ideas how to make the file as a default word file...

    Cheers Skendo

It's probably a setting on her side. I don't think you can do anything about it. Since she can save the attachment OK, it's not really a problem.

it is only happening with one particular document... not all word documents, and she has to send the file to 3 or 4 more people who only have basic computer skills....i hace copied the text opened new word document, still does now work....

I don't think it's possible to know what's causing this from a distance.

Since she has saved the attachment, she can then attach it to a new e-mail message.

If user weirdness could come into play, maybe it's really a text document that the user is opening in Word and hasn't realized that it's a text document? (I know, a shot in the dark.)
