    Table (Word '03)

I am working on a bid, and would like to be able to multiply column 1 by column 4 and the answer in column 5. Can I so this in a table in word?
    Thanks John

Yes, if there are no blank fields. If the value is zero you can not leave the field blank. Press F1 and type "perform calculations in a table" for more info.

    Hi John,

Yes, you can do that, and the syntax is much the same as in Excel. For more information on Word field maths, see my <post#=365442>post 365442</post#>

One important point to note is that Word fields don't calculate automatically, though you can force them to if they're getting their values from data entry in a protected form.

    Cheers
