    How to remove box in table? (WordXP)

    Attached is a document with a box in a table. I think that this box was created by pasting cells from Excel into Word. I was wondering if there is a "Find & Replace" command to be able to remove the box?

    This box has caused me problems because when I print the page on one printer the box looks like a "1". However, in Print Preview mode and on older printers the box prints as a square.

    The box is an extra Carriage Return (ASCII 13) character, the same that is used by Word as a paragraph end. You can search for it by entering ^13 in the Find What box, but this will also find all paragraph marks.;

    You may find Phil Rabichow's Find/Replace Special Characters (Word) useful/interesting.
