The Str function in qry SRT inserts a space in front of positive numbers (where the minus sign would be for a negative number), so you get values such as "<code> 692</code>" instead of "<code>692</code>". If you change Str to CStr, you avoid this leading space.

    Hans,

Another unobvious Access quirk to put into my "Toolbox", the majority of which is filled with your good stuff. Thanks most kindly,
    Cheers,
    Andy

Don't know if you can call this a quirk, but anyway Str is a general (and quite old) Visual Basic function, it's not specific to Access.

    Hans,

Sounds like you're describing me, almost a quirk, quite old and not specific with Access.
    Cheers,
    Andy

    Are you a general too? <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

    I'm more private than that.
