Received Column not showing (Outlook 2003)

This morning I have been clicking a few things in Outlook and I have now found the Received column in the InBox is now not showing.
    The other folders are fine.

How can I get the Received column to show again? I have found it, my problem now is that the Grouping by Dates is not showing.

(Edited by jscher2000 on 20-Nov-05 16:37. )
First you could try to re-apply the view.

    View menu>Arrange by>Current View>Messages

If that doesn't help, you can reset to Outlook's default using

View menu>Arrange by>Current View>Customize Current view (then there is a reset button)

To change the view as it currently appears, you can use that customize dialog or, if you have a one-line view, right-click any column heading an use the Field Chooser to drag Received to wherever you want it.

    Does any of that help?

Added: The question changed! Use View>Arrange by>Date and then View>Arrange by>Show in groups

Sorry about the change on the fly, but your suggested solution of :

View menu>Arrange by>Current View>Customize Current view (then there is a reset button)

    worked beautifully, thank you.

I spoke too soon as I still do not have the dates in groups. I tried the
    ******* Use View>Arrange by>Date and then View>Arrange by>Show in groups *******
and it does not show in groups of dates.

Personally, I don't use groups, but when I turn that on, Outlook creates categories such as Today, Yesterday, Last Week. What were you looking for?

It was not that long ago, a couple of months where I re-installed Windows XP, Office XP and other things, and Outlook set up groups as you have noted. I was wondering how to turn it back on for the InBox, it is fine in the Sent Items etc.

With the Inbox folder open, just go to View|Arrange By and select "Show in Groups".
