Pop Up for Datasheet View (Access 2000 >)

    Hi all,

Its easy to add controltip text to controls on a standard form. Is there a way to add a controltip text to a control on a sub form that is displayed in datasheet view. I would like the user to see a popup msg (that describes details of the field) when they move to the field.

    TIA
    Regards,
    Rudi

Not as far as I know. You could use a continuous form instead of a datasheet form; you can even make it look almost exactly like a datasheet form with a bit of work <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>
The ControlTip Text will be displayed in a continuous form, but it will be the same for all records.

This is fine, its a general instruction for the entire field.

    >>> you can even make it look almost exactly like a datasheet form with a bit of work...
Tx for the tip: I'll have to weigh up the importance of the tip text and see which if its really worth the effort.
