    Trim Spaces (A2k)

    I have a field which I know contains spaces.
    I have applied the following : Trim(Is Not Null) to a query trying to filter a field which contains data.
    The normal "Is Not Null" criteria doesn't work because of the spaces.

    In the first empty column in the query grid, enter
    <code>
    Trim(Nz([NameOfTheField],""))
    </code>
    with the correct field name substituted.
    Clear the Show check box (this column will only be used to filter).
    Set the criteria to <code><>""</code> (that is, a less than character followed by a greater than character followed by two double quotes)

    Thankyou again.

    The query works fine but takes quite a while to calculate.
    Can't have everything I suppose !
