    Office Assistant (2000/2002)

    Installed Microsoft Outlook on few machines, when users open word or access etc, they get a message saying Please install at least one Office assistant, does any one know if I can get the office assistant from internet.,

    The office assistants are part of the Office/Outlook installation. Run your Office/Outlook set-up program again to install the assistants.

    In the old days, there was a way to tell Clippy to go away and never return again. This must be stored somewhere... perhaps this is a registry setting that you can change so that you don't need to install the assistant? (I don't know whether there is such a setting, sorry!)

    You can download additional agents from websites such as http://www.msagentring.org/ but you may need to reinstall before the necessary components are in place.

    These agents reside in my 'Windows/msagent/chars' folder but this may be different on your system.
