Real v virtual path (WinXP, Wd2003)

Does anyone know how to make Word keep the real path (eg serverdir1dir2templates) rather than the virtual one (eg T:templates) in the doc.AttachedTemplate property?!

We're having great difficulty with our new citrix environment because it keeps assuming that the virtual drives (and anything in them) DO exist whether they actually do or not, and makes our code to check if a directory or document exists completely useless!

I found a post in the newsgroups stating that the only reliable way to do this is to remove all drive mappings... <img src=/S/crazy.gif border=0 alt=crazy width=15 height=15>

(In Word 97, the behaviour was the opposite: a path with a drive letter was automatically converted to a UNC path unless you created a special registry setting to prevent that)
