    Messages require scrolling in Netscape

    Eileen:
Using Netscape Navigator. Just today, when I click on most messages, I can only see about 3/4ths of the message (width). I have to keep scrolling back & forth to read a message. I haven't changed my settings (keeping style sheets NOT enabled). Did something change?

I did now. Actually, this was different & happened only reading certain messages (even ones I had read before). I tried it from work & again at home.

But, it seems to be working now. Good job!!

New user to this version of the board. First thing I do is read, err, that is try to read "Welcome Message" from YOU. Message lines scrolled right off side of page, only saw first 1/3 of message. Real problem when I am trying to follow instructions re. setup for board. Got around problem by view source in NoteTab (which wraps text very nicely, thankyou).

Seems to me that this is one message that you would want as clear as possible.

FYI. I am using IE 5.50.4522.1800 on this system. I know, I know, Woody says don't use it, but I need it to test other things.

Ok, I think I figured out what happened. The message was in "Private Mail" as a welcome when I came in. I clicked on one of the action boxes (Download???) instead of clicking on the subject. I was able to read the same message, VERY, nicely formatted in Words From On High.

So, probably, not a bug but maybe a useability feature for new users. One fix might be to add a "Read" action box with equivalent function to clicking on subject.

Confirmed situation by sending a private message to myself. I had used "Download Checked".

After looking at interface again I suggest that "Click on Subject to read message" or equivalent be shown on top of page/private messages section as a guide to new users.

PS: Very nice job overall. I have had time to experiment with more functions and think this is one of the most full featured message boards I have seen. Also very fast response.
