    Hide Record Menu (Access 97)

Hello. I am new to Access, so this question is probably pretty basic stuff. I am creating a main launch form for my database. When I switch from design view to form view, the record menu appears at the bottom. In the sample Northwinds database this menu is hidden, but I cannot figure out how. I would appreciate any help you can offer.

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

You probably mean the navigation buttons. Open the form in design view, and activate the Properties window (View | Properties).
Activate the Format tab in the Properties window.
Change the "Navigation buttons" property from Yes to No.
Save the form, then switch to form view.

By Records Menu, doyou mean the buttons at the bottom that say "Record 1 of 100" with the buttons to navigate?

These are called navigation buttons. One of the properties of a form, is whether you want it to have navigation buttons. If yoy find the properties box, you will find the navigation buttons property in the format page of the properties box.
