Section Breaks HELP! (WordXP)

Attached is a document which contains 2 section breaks. I want the last section break to be "Continuous" so that there is no blank space at the end of the document. However, no matter how hard I try, there is always a blank page. How do I prevent the blank page from happening when I put the last section break in??

Attached is another document with 3 section breaks. In this document all the section breaks say "Continuous". However, the 3rd section break starts on a new page. Why is this happening?

I think it has something to do with inconsistent "Different First Page Header" settings, but no matter what I try, I can't find a way to "fix" it without creating a Next Page section break. I know we have had threads on this particular problem of Next Page and Continuous breaks, but I can't remember the solution. Here's what I tried:

Sub NoDiffFirstPageHeader()
Dim intCount As Integer
With ActiveDocument.Sections
For intCount = .Count To 1 Step -1
.Item(intCount).PageSetup.DifferentFirstPageHeader Footer = False
If intCount < .Count Then
.Item(intCount + 1).PageSetup.SectionStart = wdSectionContinuous
End If
Next
End With
End Sub

Good luck!

The page setup of the 2nd and 3rd sections is slightly different - page heights are 842 points and 841.95 points, respectively. The difference is so small that you don't see it in File | Page Setup..., but if you select the 2nd and 3rd section together, you'll see that some items are blank in the Paper tab of File | Page Seup..., indicating that the settings are different. I assume this forces the 3rd section to begin on a new page.

THANK YOU!!! That is extremely helpful and I will now be able to fix all my old documents...

I have another question. When I set the page setup in my templates to be 841.95 points, it sometimes rounds up to 842 points. In some other templates it rounds down to 841.9 points. Is there something in the template that causes the rounding to occur?

If you have an additional question, it's better to put it in a new reply in the thread - I just happened to notice that the date of the reply had changed, otherwise I wouldn't have looked at it again.

Perhaps you shouldn't try to be so precise and set the page height to whole points only.
