    Run Access marco from Excel (1)

    To anyone out there
    Is there a way to call up and run an Access marco from an Excel workbook

    You can issue a Shell command to open an Access database and run a macro:
    <code>
    Shell """C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice11MsAccess.exe"" ""C:AccessMyDatabase.mdb"" /x MyMacro"
    </code>
    (This is for Access 2003 - it's not clear which version you are using)

    If your Access database contains a macro named AutoExec, it will be run automatically when the database is opened, you don't need the /x switch for that.
