"swf" represents a ShockWave Flash file.
Any decent graphics viewer such as Irfan View should open it.
Or, you can use a more dedicated program such as SWF Player

    Have a Great day!!!

In addition to Ken's solutions, you can also download the Macromedia Flash Player to view these files directly in your browser.

Have done that but still no joy.

NEXT question Is there some way I can BLOCK e mails from a particular person?

I don't use Mozilla, but I'm sure someone else will step in.

I have had the same problem, it appears that if you have the Adblock FF extension Flash Player will not work!!! Frustrating but could this be the cause?

You can't really block emails at the client level, they still will be accepted into your server side mailbox. However, most mail programs let you create rules that act on newly retrieved messages, so probably you could create a rule to immediately send them to the trash.
