    Set Default Mail (MSOE 6)

    Hi,

I use Outlook as my mail client but need to use OE when sending invoices from MYOB.
OE normally popped up a warning box when it started informing me that it wasn't my default mail client & did I wish it to be so.
Normally I click yes and it does it, but I mistakenly clicked the "don't show again" box, so now when OE starts, it doesn' do this check.

How can I get the warning box to show again, I can't find anything in options anyware to change this setting.

    Thanks
    Neville

In Outlook, try Tools>Options>Other tab and check "Make Outlook the default program for.......". This should reset the notification in OE. OR, in IE, Tools>Options>Programs>and specify Outlook as the default e-mail program.

    Thanks John,

I gave this a go but wasn't successful for some reason. Also tried a few other variations, but still no luck.
Have also been searching on Google, found a possible fix via regedit, didn't work either.

I'm not sure what to suggest then. Perhaps someone else has some ideas.

    Hi John,

Have been sniffing around in the registry and found this entry:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USERIdentities{04643869-AE82-4EEF-9D86-1C54060118A4}SoftwareMicrosoftOutlook Express5.0Mail
I changed "No Check Default" back to 0 & have solved the problem.

    Thanks for you help.
