Re: subentry in concordance table (Word97 SR2)

In Word 2003, you use the syntax "<code>main-entry:sub-entry</code>" in your XE field or in your concordance file. Did Word 97 support this?

subentry in concordance table (Word97 SR2)

How do I define a sub-entry in a concordance table for an index. I want to end up with something like:
    strength 4, 5, 6
    after reaction 21
    cold 2, 7, 21
    tensile 7,15
I have just worked out that I can put "strength:cold" in th e second column of the table and I get it as a subentry but I am also getting it appearing in the main index term.
Can I have strength as a Main Entry and "cold" as a sub-entry without repetition?

yes it does work also in W97. thanks. I just modified my last post which is probably naughty of me now asking further help.
Now I am getting the sub-entries repeated as main entries. Is there anyway to say, for instance, if "blast furnace charging" is found index it as "blast furnace:charging" but otherwise as "blast furnace" (ie "other")?

I actually never use this feature, so I don't know. It seems the software should avoid duplication automatically, but...
