    2003 & XP (SP2)

Whenever I send a Meeting Request to a particular user (who is using Outlook XP), instead of the Meeting Request going into her Calendar, it arrives in an unusual format (more like an E-mail--refer below) with the ACCEPT button greyed out. We have tested this by sending Meeting Requests from 2 different users with the same results.

Is there a reason the user with Outlook XP is unable to accept appointments sent from Outlook 2003?

    Try the following:
    - Select Tools | Options...
    - Activate the Preferences tab.
    - Click Calendar Options...
    - Clear the "When sending meeting requests over the Internet, use iCalendar format" check box.
    - Click OK (twice).

Send a test meeting request to the Outlook 2002 user to see if this resolves the problem. If not, post back.
