    You can put a command button on the form with the following line in its On Click event procedure:

    RunCommand acCmdFilterByForm

    Note: as soon as the Filter by Form kicks in, all command buttons on the form are disabled until Filter by Form is closed, so you can't use a command button to apply the filter or to close Filter by Form.
