    Linking documents in public folders (OL2000)

    A colleague has a document that contains hyperlinks to other files that were originally located on a network drive. Now that the documents are in public folders she is unable to put hyperlinks to other files in public folders. Can anyone tell me how to do this please?
    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Linking documents in public folders (OL2000)

    I'm unclear as to whether the files are now attachments in Public Folder items or you want the Public File Items to have hyperlinks to the files still on the network drive.

    Generally the syntax for a hyperlink to a file is:

    <File://drivenamefilepath1filepath2filename.ext>

    and the syntax for a hyperlink to an Outlook Folder in any location is:

    <Outlook://outlookinformationstorenameoutlookfolderpath1outlo okfolderpath2>

    Getting a hyperlink to a specific Outlook Item is a bit trickier - see <post#=481271>post 481271</post#>. I don't belive you can create a hyperlink to a specific attachment within an Outlook Item.
