Office 2003 Pro and Standard (office 2003 Pro)

Does 2003 standard support Smart Tags and Smart Documents just as Office 2003 Pro?

Yes. The difference between Standard and Pro is not in the functionality of the applications, but in which applications are included. Standard contains Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word. Pro contains those, plus Access, Business Contact Manager (for Outlook) and Publisher.

There are some differences between Office 2003 Standard & Pro. Office Professional Edition 2003 includes additional support for Extensible Markup Language (XML) and information rights management (IRM) and allows you to use Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for the Microsoft Office System.

See Compare Functionality in Office 2003 Editions for further info. If you are using smart documents it is best to go for the pro version.
