Dates plotted on calendar view (MS Project 2000 or 2002)

On the MS Project Calendar View (version 2000 or 2002) is it possible for a user to choose to plot tasks against a set of dates OTHER THAN Start/Finish?

For instance
from Start1 to Finish1
OR
from Start2 to Finish2
OR
from Date1 to Date2, provided Date2 > Date1

Project does not support custom bar definitions in calendar views. You would be able to create custom bars in any of the Gantt Chart views.
