    Re: Slide transition Fadeout (PPT2000 SP3)

    I am pleased to report success with the Fade_out procedure. I had omitted to first of all select the image!

    Slide transition Fadeout (PPT2000 SP3)

    Edited by HansV to make URL into a link. You can type the tags <!t><!/t> and <!t><!/t> yourself if you can't or won't use the 1-Click TagPanel.

    I obtained the macro below from the web site at the URL: http://www.aeverett.btinternet.co.uk...powerpoint.htm (As I am using Mozilla Firefox I cannot use the marker tag to make this URL a hyperlink.)

    Sub Fadeout()
    Dim i As Integer

    For i = 0 To 11
    ActiveWindow.Selection.ShapeRange.PictureFormat.In crementContrast -0.03
    ActiveWindow.Selection.Copy
    ActiveWindow.View.Paste
    Next

    ActiveWindow.Selection.SlideRange.Shapes.SelectAll
    ActiveWindow.Selection.ShapeRange.Align msoAlignCenters, True
    ActiveWindow.Selection.ShapeRange.Align msoAlignMiddles, True
    With ActiveWindow.Selection.ShapeRange.AnimationSetting s
    .Animate = msoTrue
    .TextLevelEffect = ppAnimateByAllLevels
    .AnimateBackground = msoTrue
    End With
    ActiveWindow.Selection.ShapeRange.AnimationSetting s.AdvanceMode = ppAdvanceOnTime
    ActiveWindow.Selection.ShapeRange.AnimationSetting s.AdvanceTime = 1
    End Sub

    The first problem with running this macro was with the first line! An ambiguity was reported in the expression Fadeout. I could find nothing to account for the amiguity & changing Fadeout to Fade_out allowed the macro to run two more lines as far as:

    ActiveWindow.Selection.ShapeRange.PictureFormat.In crementContrast -0.03

    where a runtime error occurs. I am an incompetent with macros & would very much appreciate a macro guru testing the procedure & letting me know how to get it to work. I have looked for help on the source site without being able to make any contact with the author or webmaster.
