    'Disable' IE (XP)

How can I prevent the IE icon from appearing on any users Start Menu, QuickLaunch bar, generally speaking, any where at all.

How about the "Set Program Access and Defaults" entry on the Start Menu? Ever since MS was, er, forced to add it, I've not used it but I see the choices are: Microsoft Windows, Non-Microsoft and Custom. What would happen if you chose Non-Microsoft? Mine happens to already be set as Custom because I have chosen my default browser, etc.

Wouldn't that be required for each user? I'd like to disable it for all users, current and future.

If your users are on a domain, you can establish a Group Policy to disable IE. Check this article .
