    Flow Chart and Labeling (2002)

Hi Loungers. I am doing a flow chart in Excel and have 4 rectangular boxes surrounding the hub or center box. I am wanting to connect some of the boxes with 2-way arrows that will be drawn at an approximate 45 degree angle and wanted to add text (at this same angle) above and below these arrows.

Is this possible and if so, could some advise as to how to do this?

    Thanks.

Unless I've misread what you are asking, you can insert that style of arrow using your autoshapes button and choosing Lines...the double arrow is one of the selections that you can draw into your chart.

I inserted the arrow and if I depict the boxes as I'd like, I will be drawing lines at 45 degree angles. I would like to add text directly above and below those arrows. My question was how to add the text at 45 degree angle immediately above or below arrows...

Does formatting the cells either side of the arrow give you the effect you want? Go to Format, cell, Alignment, then drag the pointer to give the angle you require. HTH

Ah. My apologies...I knew I must have misread your question!

Anyway, what about playing around with Word Art from your drawing toolbar? You can certainly angle the text anyway you want. Just a matter of finding the right size and depiction of the text that you want.
