    Application (Office3000)

Big problems with my Office 3000 running on XP Pro SP2. When starting any program within Office 3000. I get a error "Excel The application failed to initialise properly (0x0150002) Click on OK to terminate the application"
the same error with MS word.
I have tried repairing Office 3000, removing and reinstalling Office 3000, removing Office 3000 and all Office folders all to no avail

Do you mean Office 2000 or Office 2003? We'll have to wait some 995 years before Office 3000 is released.

Did you remove all remaining Office-related folders from C:Program Files after uninstalling Office 2003? And all Office-related registry entries?

    I was actually laughing at Hans' dry wit here; not your marginal (997 year) slip-up. <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>

I've already allocated money in my budget to purchase Office 3000.
Working on some acceptance tests now.

Usually error 0x0150002 indicates hardware driver problem. Do you see any problems in Device Manager (Start | Run, type DEVMGMT.MSC and hit Enter) ?

Did you upgrade your video driver recently? If yes, try to roll back the driver; if no, check for the latest driver.

    Re: Application (Office3000)

on checking device manager I found a yellow disk for "Microsoft system management BIO's Driver" I deleted this device restarted my computer there are no yellow disks in device manager now
However, on running MS office programs I still get a 0x0150002 error.
In MS knowledge base "Symptom Word 2003 gets error 0x0150002.
    Cause repairing XP
    Cure restart XP"
I had repaired XP re started XP to no avale.
