The system in question is a Dell Inspiron 1100 running WinXP Pro SP2, ZoneAlarm Security Suite 6.1.737. Windows high priority updates are current through those issued 12/13/05. Starting the evening of 12/13/05, my installation of Outlook has begun crashing once or more times a day. Typically, I'll come back to the machine to find a ZoneAlarm alert that MS Application Error Reporting has tried to open a new thread of DW.EXE, and a black screen with an Outlook title bar in the background.

I've run Office Detect and Repair on Outlook twice, and SCANPST against the PST files that are regularly open when Outlook is running, but I still get the crashes. Given the start of this behavior after updating Win XP with the 12/13/05 updates, I'm concerned that it's a bug in one of them. Any ideas, other than removing the 12/13/05 Windows updates?

Is anyone else experiencing anything like this recently?
