Outline numbering order (Office XP)

(Edited by Waggers on 19-Dec-05 16:31. Amended screenshot)
I suspect the attached screenshot explains the problem readily enough, but just to be clear... I'm using outlined numbering linked to styles. For some reason, when I get to level 3, the numbers are in order 2.1.3 instead of 1.2.3. How can I correct this?

If at first you do succeed, you've probably missed something.

    Solved

I'm not exactly sure how, but I've managed to overcome the problem. However, definitive answers for future reference would still be welcome!

You can reconstruct the correct order by removing the number that is incorrect, then clicking in the position where it should be, and selecting the appropriate level from the "Previous level number" dropdown. It may take a few tries, but you can start over if needed.
