Precedents/Dependents (any)

Is there a way to show all precedents and dependents in a worksheet without having to select each individual cell and clicking the trace buttons? It would be nice to do it for the entire sheet.

Thank you and Happy Holidays!!!

Don't think so, and in many spreadsheets it would result in absolute chaos!

As Hans says this will only result in a big mess, but the macro to do it is easy:

Option Explicit

Sub bigMess()
Dim c As Range
Application.DisplayAlerts = False
On Error Resume Next
For Each c In ActiveSheet.UsedRange.Cells
c.ShowDependents
c.ShowPrecedents
Next c
Application.DisplayAlerts = True
End Sub

There also are 3-party add-in that provide enhanced Auditing, for example, XspandXL provides the capability that you want. Looks OK, but I've not tried it. There is a 30 day free trial. HTH --Sam
