Hot Key to Lock Computer (XP SP2)

    Hello,

I have a habit of locking my desktop with Window's Button + L when I leave it. I recently got an IBM A31 Thinkpad and it doesn't have a windows button that I can see. Are there any other key combos that will lock a computer?
My current work around was to create a shortcut with the command to lock the computer and push ctrl + alt + L. Unfortunately that shortcut only works if it is located on the desktop. Is there a way to make hot keys work when the shortcut is not located on the desktop?

I figured I'd ask the best.

    Thanks,
    Justin K.

I don't know if this is what you have tried but if you create a new shortcut and paste this command:

    rundll32 user32.dll,LockWorkStation

into the Target option of the shortcut properties you can place the shortcut icon anywhere you want....was this what you were looking for?
