    After Motherboard monitor

I'm having some kind of heat issue with a computer in a small (junky) case. Unfortunately, MBM does not seem to support this particular motherboard. (Bisotar M7VIG 400), and I'm hainv difficulty getting trustworthy temperature readings. Unfortunately, none of the utilities from biostar support this mobo either. I have some partial support from speedfan.

What's the next step if you can't use MBM ( I am under the impression that it's not in development any more) ? Is there some other software that is more likely to support my product?

Start by finding out what kind of monitoring chip is on the board. Winbond is a common one, for example. Get the number off the chip and search around for programs that support it.

You are correct that MBM is no longer being developed. Have you looked at SourceForge?

Thanks. Unfortunately, it's not a Winbond chip, and so far I haven't uncovered exactly what it might be.

Turns out the power supply seems to be flakey on the machine. Plus, even if it _was_ working properly, the fan is configured to blow hot air into the case. <img src=/S/disappointed.gif border=0 alt=disappointed width=15 height=15>

Thanks! I had forgotten about Sandra. I'll check it out today.
