sub reps and cross tabs (2000)

Hi, have a number of cross tab queries where I have fixed to reports then moved those reports into another. Getting an error message stating can't use cross tab query for sub reports. Is there a way around this?

    Thanks Darren.

As long as your aren't trying to use the linking feature of subreports, you could try tricking the system by creating a set of queries that select all of the data from your crosstab queries, and then use those queries as the basis for your subreports. Because of the nature of crosstab queries, it isn't possible to link them as the data source in a subreport (or form). Another alternative is to consider replacing crosstab queries with GroupBy queries - it won't work in many crosstab queries, but where it does they can be used the data source for a subreport. Finally, you can create temporary tables from your crosstab queries and then use those as the data source for your subreports.
