    Writing Conversion Tool in Access App (Access 2000)

    I have an application written in Access 2000 and running the .mde file on pentablets. The customer recently upgraded to new pentablets. They would like to start using the Writing Conversion Tool to enter data into some of the fields. The users are able to insert typed data (using the keyboard display tool) into fields in the app but cannot insert data that they have written using the writing conversion tool. The pentablets are running Windows XP tablet O/S. Is this writing tool not compatible with Access 2000 or is it the .mde file that

    Posts in pentablet forums seem to suggest this is a problem with Access 2000, while using the 2000 format in XP or 2003 doesn't show that problem. It looks like you may have to ugrade if you are indeed using Access 2000 and not one of the later versions. A2k had other shortcomings that were remedied in later versions, so if you can, I would suggest a conversion.
