How to know if an application is running? (2003)

How to know from Access code if a hiden session of MSProject is running? I want to send some information from Access to Project and I want to test if Project is already running in the background.
    Thank you and best regards,
    Marcel

I've not found any specific assistance for determining if Project is active, but I presume you would use the same techniquest you do with Word or Excel. Basically, it involves using the GetObject method and then checking for an error code - 429 is used with both Word and Excel. If you get the error, Project is not running, otherwise it is. Hope this helps. If you need further assistance, we may want to see if someone with extensive Project experience can help. (You might also find this MSKB GetObject and CreateObject behavior of Office automation servers useful)
