Can I uninstall Works now (Office 2003)

    Hi,

My laptop (now 2yrs old) came with Works 7 preinstalled. I bought Office 2003 Upgrade and installed that, and I've now been using it ever since. But I've still got Works installed on the PC and it's occupying 100Mb or so of space that I'd like back. Can I uninstall it, or will it give me problems installing new bits of or completely reinstalling my Office 2003?

    Thanks.

If you have to re-install Office 2003 you'll need proof at some point of a prior version that qualifies for the update. So, you either need Works installed or an installation CD.

Hmm. That's what I suspected. If the Office 2003 install can't find an installation of Works, does it ask for a keycode, serial number or suchlike, or must it be an install disk?

It MUST be the install disk(CD) or a copy installed on the machine.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
