When was my appointment created? (Outlook 2003)

I have a user here who has an appointment in his calendar that he claims he did not input. It is not a meeting someone else added to his calendar, it is something that he put in or his assistant (who has access). Both claim they did not input the appointment and are very concerned.

Is there a way to tell when the appointment was created or by whom (if someone else has access)?

    Thanks for any suggestions!

If you open the appointment and select File | Properties..., you'll see the last modified date/time of the appointment.

You could download and install OutlookSpy (free 30-day evaluation) to view properties of the appointment that are not exposed in the Outlook interface (or in Outlook VBA). The PR_CREATION_TIME and PR_ORIGINAL_AUTHOR_NAME might be of interest (if they are available for appointments)

In many parts of Outlook, you can choose Tools>Forms>Design this form and access an "All Fields" tab for lots of hard-to-access information. Not sure about Tasks. (Remember to cancel out after doing this.)

Late to the party, but if you are comfortable with the VBE, open the Appointment and in the Immediates window enter:

    ?ActiveInspector.CurrentItem.Organizer
    ?ActiveInspector.CurrentItem.CreationTime

If these have been spoofed you have a serious security issue which could be as simple as an unattended computer not password locked, or someone who has gained Admin rights or inappropriately used Admin rights.
