    move a word document in to excel (excel )

    Hello,

    Was wondering if anyone could help me figure how to move word document into excel?

    You have tabular data in a Word document that you would like to place in rows and columns in Excel? Copy and paste works pretty well, and then you can "clean up" any issues. If your Word table cells contain paragraph breaks or manual line breaks, Excel might put them on new rows. For best results, first do a find and replace for those special characters to something unique (such as @#$) and then, in Excel, you can try to change them back. Actually, I'm not sure you can. Perhaps an Excel user can explain how to preserve paragraph breaks.

    If your Word data is not already in tabular form, we probably need more information in order to assist.

    hi

    i was looking for importing the word document into a excel sheet, kinda like a picture but in excel have the ability to work with the import like it is in word. I just cant remeber how to do this

    Select Insert | Object...
    Activate the Create from File tab.
    Click Browse...
    Locate and select the Word document (it must be saved to disk)
    There are check boxes to specify whether the document must be inserted as an icon, and whether you want to keep a link to the source document.
