    Open Excel - I get a message (Excel 2003)

When I open Excel at the beginning of a day I get the following message:

Please wait while windows configures Microsoft Office Edition 2003

While I open it again later in the day I don't get this message. Suggestions????

I get this all the time, with whatever Office program I open first, but only at work where they are always taking over my machine remotely to load patches, delete cookies, etc. Annoying but I doubt if anything can be done about it.

In addition to Sam's response. Have a word with the Application/network guys in the IT department as they are passing <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

This is normally caused by the way your PC is set up, the build or the permissions you have on that PC.

We have approximately 5 standard builds of the networked PC's at work, each tweaked and tampered with by various technicians to get specific applications to work.

Yes a mild irritation at login but nothing to worry about
