    IE Favorites in Outlook (2003)

Our office recently upgraded from Office XP to Office 2003. Several of my co-workers were used to having the IE Favorites showing on the menu bar in Outlook. I did some digging around but can't find a way to add it. Is there a way to put the IE Favorites on the menu bar as in Office XP? Thanks for your help.

    Select Tools | Customize...
    Activate the Commands tab.
Select Menu Bar in the list of Categories.
Select Favorites in the list of Commands.
Drag it to the menu or toolbar location where you want to place it.

Re: IE Favorites in Outlook (2003)

    Hans,
I did as you instructed and I was able to place the "Favorites" on the Toolbar (File, Edit, Etc.). Is there a way to place it in the "Shortcuts" menu bar ? When I drag it to that area, the "+" (that tells you it is all right to drop in an area) changes to "-" and of course you cannot drop it successfully in that area then. Thanks in advance for any help with this matter !!!

I don't have Outlook 2003 myself, so I don't know. Sorry. Hopefully someone else will have an answer.

If I understand the question, Outlook 2003 remade (some people use a nastier expression) the Outlook Bar concept. See if <post:=376,120>post 376,120</post:> & <post:=488,821>post 488,821</post:> help any.

Past thread on this subject: Favorites in Outlook (Outlook 2003)

I'm not sure whether intervening Service Packs have changed this... I don't see an option to adding anything but Outlook folders into the Shortcuts section(s) of the Navigation Pane.

Added: While I was clicking around, JohnBF posted a workaround in <post#=547782>post 547782</post#>.

Thanks, Hans. That worked like a charm! I had tried doing that earlier but somehow had just overlooked it.

In that case, instead of clicking around, you should click in a direct line.
