Copletely delete previous version (2003)
I am installing Office 2003 using SMS, and am havin a problem with a couple of machines. The symptom is that some of the machines come up with an error (when trying to open outlook) stating that it was not installed correctly.
(when doing this kind of install, although it replaces the XP applications, 'Office XP' still appears in the 'Add/Remove Programs' list)
I have found that I do not get this error if I go to 'Add / Remove Programs' and remove Office XP completely before installing 2003.
Is there any way to simulate this process using SMS?
Pehaps using the Offcln.exe file? If so, is there a way to chain the office installation to the removal tool rather than vise-versa?
